Wilson’s disease is a rare, progressive genetic disorder characterized by excess copper stored in various body tissues, particularly the liver, brain, and corneas of the eyes. It can cause liver failure and central nervous system (CNS) dysfunction if left untreated. There are few studies on using cannabis for treating Wilson’s disease, although one patient study does report an improvement in symptoms after smoking cannabis.
